Statement of faith:
I'm a reformed evangelical born-again Bible-believing Christian.

The Gospel:
Jesus Christ, after living a perfect life, substituted Himself in our place in order that we may be reconciled to God. The wrath and punishment all human beings deserve was heaped upon Jesus so that we can once again have fellowship with Him. Three days after His death, He resurrected bodily and stayed with His disciples for forty days. He then ascended into Heaven and sat at the right hand of the Father, where He remains today and will remain until He comes back to retrieve His people.

The Bible:
The infallible, unaltered, perfect word of God which has been given to man in order to make known the grace of God through the cross of Jesus Christ. It is of divine origin, not human origin, written under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, by the pens of the Saints of God He has chosen to write it.

Creation:
I'm a strict, young earth, six-day creationist. I believe the Genesis account is literal, not metaphorical, and therefore giving absolutely no room for evolution of any type. I do not believe evolution is compatible with science or the Bible in any way, shape or form.

Trinity:
There is one God, displaying Himself in three different persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These persons are separate, not one person who played different roles; they are God simultaneously while still being three persons.

Nature of Christ:
Jesus Christ is the incarnate God, Son of God the Father. He is the substitute who receives the wrath of God to remove that wrath from those who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior.

Original sin:
Adam, after eating of the fruit God had forbidden them to eat, by influence of Satan, brought death upon the entire human race. All human beings, therefore, are born dead in sin, with a vile hatred of God that cannot be changed except by the life-creating power of the Holy Spirit.

Satan:
A being who was once Lucifer, a glorious angel with the Lord in Heaven. He wanted to be like God and have all of God's glory to himself, and was thereafter thrown out of Heaven, taking one third of the angels with him. He became Satan, and his followers the demons.

Salvation/Soteriology:
One who is saved is saved by grace alone, meaning nothing they can do can save them; only by the mercy and grace of God can they be saved. The instrument by which God uses in order to save is faith, and faith alone. One can only be saved through faith in Jesus Christ.

Calvinism/Reformed theology:
Human beings are totally depraved, dead in sin, with no ability to choose life over death. There is only a deep craving for sin and a hatred for God.
God has chosen one group of people to be saved from this death. This group of people are the Church, or bride, or more commonly referred to by Calvinists as "the elect".
Jesus' death on the cross was only for the bride of Christ. It secures their salvation and eternal life forever.
At one point in the lives of every elected man or woman, the Holy Spirit comes into their heart, making them hate sin and love God, and everything God loves.
All of the elect continue in their salvation until they die. From the day they are saved until the day they die, the Holy Spirit conforms them more and more to the image of Jesus Christ.

Baptism:
Those who are saved by Christ must be baptized by submersion into water, as a public declaration that they have died, buried, and have been resurrected with Christ.

Cessationism:
I do not believe God speaks to anyone anywhere except through the Bible. The Bible is now the only means by which God communicates with human beings, there is no revelation beyond it.
However, I believe miracles are active whenever God wills it, but not in the same procedure as was done by the Apostles.
All spiritual gifts are still active in the Church as well.

The Church/Ecclesiology:
The Church of Jesus Christ is the group of people who believe truly in Jesus Christ, who come together to worship God and edify and encourage each other in local congregations. Christ purchased them on the cross, and the Holy Spirit conceals them by giving them faith and sanctifying them (making them holier) throughout their lives.

Determinism:
God, in His sovereign will, has predestined every event, big or small, that has happened, is happening and will happen. This includes all sins. He does this in order to glorify Himself through the glory of the cross, and all events will therefore glorify Him in the end. This does imply that human beings do not have free will. The will of man is in the sovereign control of God. However, man is still responsible for everything they do. Though paradoxical, this position is what I believe the Bible presents.

End Times/Eschatology:
My views on the book of Revelation are fully influenced by dispensationalism.
Premillenialism:
Jesus' second coming will be before His 1,000-year reign on earth.
Pre-tribulation rapture:
God will take His people into Heaven for seven years during the tribulation.

Israel:
The nation of Israel will be saved and reconciled to God once again toward the end of the rapture.
